1. General Awareness (with special reference to J&K): 20 Marks
- Current events of national importance
- Indian history, culture, heritage and Freedom Movement
- Indian Constitution basic features, Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles
- Political and physical divisions of India
- Demography census, features and functions
- Weather, climate, crops, means of transport of India
- Environment, ecology & bio-diversity
- J&K UT: History, Geography, Economy, Heritage & Culture, J&K Reorganization Act 2019
2. General English & Comprehension: 10 Marks
- Tenses, rearranging jumbled sentences, narration, modals/articles, clauses
- Synonyms and antonyms
- Pairs of words in meaningful sentences
- Idioms and phrases, use of prepositions, active & passive voice
3. General Intelligence & Reasoning: 10 Marks
a. Basic Arithmetic: Number system, percentage, average, profit & loss, ratio & proportion, time & work b. Reasoning: Number series, letter series, coding-decoding, direction sense, blood relations, mathematical reasoning, speed/distance/time, statements and conclusions
4. General Science: 10 Marks

6. Specialization: 60 Marks (6 Units, 10 marks each)
Unit 1 — Society & Social Structure Society, community, association; social stratification (caste, class); social institutions — norms, values, folkways and mores; marriage, kinship and family; social change, industrialization, globalization, modernization.
Unit 2 — Gender & Human Development Gender inequalities and issues; gender law and human rights; stages and theories of human development (Freud, Erikson); socialization and its theories; anxiety disorders, phobia, OCD, GAD, panic disorder, PTSD.
Unit 3 — Human Rights & Social Evils Human rights, concept and evolution; Universal Declaration of Human Rights; sex, gender and sexual division of labour; women’s rights/child rights; social evils, child abuse, child labour, female feticide, infanticide, drug addiction.
Unit 4 — Social Development Issues Poverty and unemployment; population explosion, global warming and climate change; indicators of social development; trafficking, beggary, corruption.
Unit 5 — Nutrition & Health Growth and development; food, nutrition, health and fitness; physiology and promoting health; food science and processing; chemical analysis of food; food and personal hygiene.
